Older NiMH rechargeables drain while resting in a drawer and need large charging stations. Statik relies on advanced Lithium-Ion chemistry instead, so self-discharge is very low, voltage stays strong and steady during use, and a USB-A to USB-C cable refills them quickly.
Charging is very quick. With your USB power source, AAA batteries reach full in less than an hour, while AA batteries need under two hours. To get the shortest time when charging four at once, use a power supply with a 2A output rating.
